Την ίδια ώρα ο ανοιχτός πόλεμος που συνεχίζεται μεταξύ του Αμερικανού προέδρου Ν.Τραμπ και της Fed, με τον Τραμπ να επιτίθεται σχεδόν καθημερινά στην Κεντρική Τράπεζα και μάλιστα σε μία τελευταία ανάρτησή του στο Twitter ουσιαστικά να την κατηγορεί για ανικανότητα, επιτείνουν το αρνητικό κλίμα, καθώς κανείς δεν μπορεί να αποκλείσει ακόμη και την αποπομπή του επικεφαλής της Fed, Jerome Powell, έστω και εάν ο Τραμπ ήταν αυτός που τον επέλεξε.

Ο Πρόεδρος Τραμπ επαναδιατύπωσε τις αιχμές του κατά της Ομοσπονδιακής Κεντρικής Τράπεζας ενώ προσπάθησε να κάνει ένεση εμπιστοσύνης λέγοντας ότι «οι αμερικανικές εταιρίες είναι οι μεγαλύτερες στον κόσμο» και ότι «παρουσιάζουν τεράστιες αγοραστικές ευκαιρίες για τους επενδυτές».

«Έχω μεγάλη εμπιστοσύνη στις εταιρίες μας. Έχουμε εταιρίες, τις μεγαλύτερες στον κόσμο και τα πηγαίνουν πραγματικά καλά», είπε ο Τραμπ που τη Δευτέρα επιτέθηκε στην FED, λέγοντας ότι αυτή συνιστά το μόνο πρόβλημα της αμερικανικής οικονομίας.”
